The total number of TAs working in English schools is down for the first time ever – but encouraging signs from the MITA project show how a strategic focus on TAs can unlock their potential.
TA Reviewer training - UCL Institute of Education, London
Tuesday, 26th February 2019
A TA Deployment Review is a great starting point for schools wanting to develop a whole school strategy to improve the impact of teaching assistants.
Reviews are commissioned by schools to help leadership teams obtain a fresh perspective on deployment and practice. Reviews follow the six-step process set out in the Teaching Assistant Deployment Review Guide.
This half day course will equip you with the essential knowledge to successfully lead schools through a Review. It will explore the key research on TA deployment and impact, and provide guidance on making practical recommendations to schools.
This course is open to school leaders, SENCOs and consultants with experience of advising leadership teams on change processes and school improvement.
