Iain Chatwin - Teaching School Manager, Chadsgrove Teaching School
Location: Midlands, South-west England, Wales
I currently plan and manage the continuing professional development and initial teacher training programmes at Chadsgrove Teaching School in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. In addition, I work within our school support team as a specialist advisor, consultant and trainer in SEND, with particular focus on supporting pupils on the autism spectrum.
My work with children with SEND in schools extends for over 30 years, and having attained a MSc in Learning Disability Studies, I have taught on undergraduate and masters level programmes as a registered lecturer with the Institute of Education at the University of Worcester. I have co-written online SEN training materials for the DfE, along with journal articles and book chapters.
Extensive work in professional development for teaching assistants includes being course leader for a Foundation Degree in Learning Support and a University Certificate in Support for Learning.
I am available to deliver the Maximising the Practice of TAs training across the Midlands, South-west England and Wales
