I am a co-ordinator for the EEF-funded Maximising the Impact of Teaching Assistants project. I also deliver the MITA school improvement course for school leaders and Maximising the Practice of TAs training for school staff.
I was the SENCo of a large primary school in south-west London for six years. As part of this role, I managed and deployed a team of over 20 TAs, and so I have an excellent understanding of the legitimate barriers to effective TA deployment and practice. As a class teacher, I have taught across all primary year groups.
I have worked with LAs to deliver SEN training and have advised on a number of SEN projects. I hold a Masters degree in Pedagogy: Professional Values and Practice, and have a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Dyslexia teaching.
I am available to deliver the Maximising the Practice of TAs training across the UK.
